Overview
Rachel Chacko joined Petersen Hastings as an Associate Wealth Advisor in July of 2022. She was soon promoted to Wealth Advisor in January of 2023. Rachel joins us from fellow Zero Alpha Group (ZAG) affiliated firm, Carlson Capital Management, in which she held a similar role for four years. Rachel’s desire to continue working for a fiduciary-centered firm that focuses on helping clients and their families feel secure in their financial lives is what drove her to Petersen Hastings.
Rachel was raised in Ames, Iowa. She earned a Ph.D. in Music Theory from the University of Colorado in 2010. She also holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in flute performance and a Postgraduate Artist Diploma from a European conservatory. Before her role with Carlson Capital Management, Rachel was a tenured professor in the music department at Whitman College in Walla Walla. Dedicated to her career in wealth advising, she holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation. She is excited about her return to Washington State with her husband and two children.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys gardening, traveling, music, and spending quality time with her husband David, son Elshaday, and daughter Tsiyon.
