Overview

Sarah joined Petersen Hastings Wealth Advisors in October 2025 as an Associate Wealth Advisor. After over a decade of building meaningful relationships through philanthropy, she sought a new way to make a positive impact, this time by helping individuals and families achieve financial clarity and confidence. Drawn to Petersen Hastings’ strong reputation for integrity, client-centered service, and collaborative culture, Sarah saw joining the firm as a natural extension of her values and professional journey.

She brings to the team a deep commitment to relationship-building, integrity, and service. With more than ten years of experience in philanthropy, Sarah has learned the importance of listening with empathy, acting with purpose, and always putting people first. At the firm, she carries those values into every client interaction, striving to build trust and deliver thoughtful, personalized financial guidance. Sarah loves her work because it allows her to build genuine, lasting relationships while helping clients feel confident about their financial future.

Sarah holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Washington State University, where she was also a Varsity Coxswain for the Women’s Rowing Team. Her professional background spans philanthropy, communications, IT support, and project management. Most recently, she served as a Philanthropy Officer at The Foundations at Kadlec, where she advanced community engagement and donor stewardship. Prior to that, she spent eight years as the Communication & Development Director at Court Advocates for Children, overseeing fundraising, marketing, HR, and technology operations.

Outside of work, Sarah finds joy in reading, soaking up the sunshine, and spending time near the water. She lives with her husband and their two daughters, Emma and Grace, along with their energetic English Springer Spaniel. Together, they enjoy mushroom hunting, bird hunting, and camping – embracing the outdoors and the adventures it brings.
